Groundwork Coffee

Good coffee. I go here often. They make a great Americana a have good pastries. It's a fun place to people watch as well!

Everything is great about this location except for parking (metered) & the weirdo address. It gives an addy on 2nd Street and yet it's on the southeast corner on Main Street of 2nd & Main.Cool girl with tats on her arms helped me out the other day to pick out some beans for my mom. I asked her a bunch of idiotic questions. I mean I drink coffee. I know what I like. Espresso hot or on ice. But I don't grind - I just do drive thru @ Starbucks.Anyway, I ended up with Organic Venice blend. Filled baggy of 1 lb @ $11.25/lb. She let me taste the Black Gold for free AND gave me a double espresso of the house blend on the house as well for buying a pound of beans.I wish they'd open one in Glendale within walking distance 'cos then I might be tempted to give up on Starbucks. It's all in the beans, baby.
